About Jeff Vreeland
Meet Jeff Vreeland: technologist, entrepreneur, political expert, family man, and geek. With an eye for the unusual and a drive for the creative, Jeff describes himself as non-traditional with the ability to think outside-the-box.
A lifelong techie, Jeff enjoys his role as the Vice President of Digital Strategy at Infomedia. In this role, Jeff leads a team of marketers and digital strategists to create first-rate, customized online strategies for clients of all shapes and sizes, from politics to home building.
In a world of awkward techies, Jeff prides himself on his ability to connect and communicate with fellow geeks and business professionals alike; all while maintaining eye contact and avoiding uncomfortable verbal pauses… A skill that came in handy during his five year tenure with software giant SunGard.
During his time with the SunGard, Jeff worked with nearly every-size client imaginable, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. After five years of working on diverse and high-level projects, Jeff has pretty much seen it all, solved it all, and presented it all to some of the country’s biggest C-level executives.
And that’s not to mention VM Technologies, the highly successful political technology company he co-founded, owned, and ran since 2007. With VM Technologies, Jeff took his passion and turned it into his profession. Due to the success of his company and an impressive record of campaign wins, Jeff has built a reputation as a national go-to political technology expert. This led to other major successes, as he single-handedly created new media strategies that contributed to the election of five national-level political candidates, and managed new media strategies for multiple national and global brands.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Jeff has a great love for the area and a desire to see it reach its full potential. That’s why, along with a team of like-minded area technologists, he created and now chairs the professional nonprofit, the Alabama Social Media Association. The goal? To empower “individuals, businesses and community organizations with social media tools and knowledge to help them meet their professional goals”, while also working to support technology growth in Alabama.
Jeff is married to his high school sweetheart, with whom he has a daughter. The happy family lives in Pelham, Alabama, where Jeff houses his extensive collection of quirky shirts and attempts to master his barbecue skills.
